Throughout the years in the fitness industry, we have found people thrive off of the fast pace tempo of working one on one with a trainer. Meet the Trainers
Matthew Choate, CSCS, FMS, B.S. Dietetics and Food Administration,Owner of XCell Fitness Academy.
Matthew attended CSULB where he received his degree in Dietetics & Food Administration. He has been a personal trainer for the past 5 years, and received the Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification from NASM. He then continued his studies and received his degree in nutrition and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist-NSCA. Matthew has a life long passion for fitness and nutrition and is the creator of the scientifically based X-Fit program at XCell Fitness Academy.
Dylan Stalker, ACSM, B.S. Kinesiology
Dylan was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and attained his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at California State University Long Beach. He believes that fitness is about becoming the strongest, most capable version of oneself, both physically and mentally. Dylan has years of experience working with a range of beginners to advanced individuals, and currently works with professional motorsports athletes as well. Aside from working out, Dylan enjoys all things Star Wars, hiking, movies, and photography!
Dylan is currently CPR/AED certified and holds his training certification under the American College of Sports Medicine.
A powerful resource. Upon enrollment, an evaluation of one’s current fitness level will help establish a program that leads to success. During the assessment, a one on one discussion occurs revealing your exercise history, assessing your fitness goals, and their current level of nutrition. A brief medical history is reviewed, as well as any current exercise limitations that the member may have. A series of tests are done including a postural analysis and a body fat analysis. You will leave the Active Assessment with a solid baseline for where you are, where you want to be and a plan for how you will get there.
Following the Active Assessment, we want to give you the ability to take the information you gathered to make sure you are comfortable with the facility and to make sure you are on the right track to meeting your health and fitness goals.
